Goodreads synopsis:
A girl who believes trust can be misplaced, promises are made to be broken, and loyalty is an illusion. A boy who believes truth is relative, lies can mask unbearable pain, and guilt is eternal. Will what they find in each other validate their conclusions, or disprove them all?
When Jacqueline follows her longtime boyfriend to the college of his choice, the last thing she expects is a breakup two months into sophomore year. After two weeks in shock, she wakes up to her new reality: she's single, attending a state university instead of a music conservatory, ignored by her former circle of friends, and failing a class for the first time in her life.
Leaving a party alone, Jacqueline is assaulted by her ex's frat brother. Rescued by a stranger who seems to be in the right place at the right time, she wants nothing more than to forget the attack and that night--but her savior, Lucas, sits on the back row of her econ class, sketching in a notebook and staring at her. Her friends nominate him to be the perfect rebound.
When her attacker turns stalker, Jacqueline has a choice: crumple in defeat or learn to fight back. Lucas remains protective, but he's hiding secrets of his own. Suddenly appearances are everything, and knowing who to trust is anything but easy.
I literally only added this book to my wishlist yesterday, after hearing about it on a booktuber's September reading wrap-up. It was their favourite book of the month, and so I went to check it out on Goodreads. As soon as I did, I ended up adding it to my wishlist! It sounds incredible!
As much as I love YA, I do find the occasional book that is too young for me (seeing as I'm 21, this is not a big surprise), so when I find a book like this one, it's like a breath of fresh air. It's still technically YA, but it's at the very top end of the scale. Some people have started referring to the genre as 'New Adult' - it's not quite adult romance, but neither is it entirely YA. This is what has been mentioned in many of the reviews that I have read of it, anyway. I shall what I think for myself, when I finally get it on my shelves, and get it read!
Have you read this one? What did you think of it?
If you haven't read it, do you want to now? Let me know in the comments :)
And of course, let us know what's on your wishlist this week, by leaving the link to your Wishlist Wednesday post in the Linky below.

I've really heard awesome things about this author's books and definitely want to give EASY a shot soon. Like you, I'm a huge fan of this New Adult trend, since I definitely prefer more grown up YA stories. :)

I completely agree with you about some YA being too young, I think that sometimes about certain books. This sounds good but not really my cup of tea but I hope you get it and enjoy it!
PS I also finished Earth Girl last night! Such a good book! :)
I hope you get it soon! It's been on my to-read list forever and I'd love to hear what you think.
I've always found YA books interesting ... they bring me back to a good place :) Even when the topic is heavy. BTW, I am always looking for blogs to review my book - I know you don’t typically do self-published books, but if the concept strikes you at all, I’m happy to send you a print copy or gift you an ebook.Stop by if you get the time www.shaunanosler.blogspot.com
