Wishlist Wednesday #147

Wishlist Wednesday is a book blog hop where we will post about one book per week that has been on our wishlist for some time, or just added (it's entirely up to you), that we can't wait to get off the wishlist and onto our wonderful shelves.

So what do you need to do to join in?
  • Follow Pen to Paper as host of the meme.
  • Please consider adding the blog hop button to your blog somewhere, so others can find it easily and join in too! Help spread the word! The code will be at the bottom of the post under the linky.
  • Pick a book from your wishlist that you are dying to get to put on your shelves.
  • Do a post telling your readers about the book and why it's on your wishlist.
  • Add your blog to the linky at the bottom of this post.
  • Put a link back to pen to paper (http://www.pentopaperblog.com) somewhere in your post, and a note saying that Pen to Paper is the host of the meme.
  • Visit the other blogs and enjoy!

Nameless
by Lili St. Crow

Synopsis:
When Camille was six years old, she was discovered alone in the snow by Enrico Vultusino, godfather of the Seven—the powerful Families that rule magic-ridden New Haven. Papa Vultusino adopted the mute, scarred child, naming her after his dead wife and raising her in luxury on Haven Hill alongside his own son, Nico.

Now Cami is turning sixteen. She’s no longer mute, though she keeps her faded scars hidden under her school uniform, and though she opens up only to her two best friends, Ruby and Ellie, and to Nico, who has become more than a brother to her. But even though Cami is a pampered Vultusino heiress, she knows that she is not really Family. Unlike them, she is a mortal with a past that lies buried in trauma. And it’s not until she meets the mysterious Tor, who reveals scars of his own, that Cami begins to uncover the secrets of her birth…to find out where she comes from and why her past is threatening her now.
After having to sort out a huge mess in my Goodreads shelves (thanks a bunch, Goodreads iPhone app), I found a load of books that I'd scanned a while ago and had completely forgotten about. This is one of the books that I had scanned but decided not to add to my wishlist or buy.
I know why I didn't put it on my wishlist before – I'd tried reading one of Lili's other books and hadn't gotten on with it very well – but this was three years ago now, and I reckon I'm ready to give her another shot.
This sounds like a great read, so I'm hoping this one doesn't disappoint me as well.

What's on your wishlist this week? Let us know in the comments below, or link to your own Wishlist Wednesday post in the Linky :)

I've been seeing the sequel of this book lately and the cover looks really nice! I never knew that the plot was so intriguing! Hope you get it soon! :D

I've only read one book by Lili St. Crow, and that is Strange Angels. It was just okay though. The plot of Nameless sounds interesting, not sure if it will be as unique as it sounds but maybe it's worth a try. :)

I haven't heard of this book before, but it definitely sounds interesting. I have a feeling that I tried reading one of her books before but I wasn't that keen. It does look good though.

Grr. I already commented, but it seems to have gone missing. If you recieve two, delete one please. Thanks.
Sorry to hear that your Goodreads app had a mishap (I made a rhyme...baha), but it is good that you were able to go through and rediscover some books that were on your TBR. I should shuffle through mine too, before the GR gods make me do it. I know there are many forgotten treasures in my account.
