Synopsis:
It’s all Ryden’s fault. If he hadn’t gotten Meg pregnant, she would have never stopped her chemo treatments and would still be alive. Instead, he’s failing fatherhood one dirty diaper at a time. And it’s not like he’s had time to grieve while struggling to care for their infant daughter, start his senior year, and earn the soccer scholarship he needs to go to college.
The one person who makes Ryden feel like his old self is Joni. She’s fun and energetic—and doesn’t know he has a baby. But the more time they spend together, the harder it becomes to keep his two worlds separate. Finding one of Meg’s journals only stirs up old emotions, and Ryden’s convinced Meg left other notebooks for him to find, some message to help his new life make sense. But how is he going to have a future if he can’t let go of the past?
This one popped up on my radar last week, and I already desperately want it off my wishlist and onto my shelves. I know it sounds like one of those books that will make me ugly cry, but I can't resist all the same. And I also think it will be an incredibly heartwarming coming-of-age story as well as an emotional one.The one person who makes Ryden feel like his old self is Joni. On top of that, it reminds me a little of Boys Don't Cry by Malorie Blackman, which I read last year and fell totally in love with! While I'm not wanting it to be the same as that, I'm hoping that it will give me the same good feelings as Boys Don't Cry did.
I'm hoping that it won't be too long until I've cleared up a bit of space on my shelves and can get this one on order!

So funny -- I picked the exact same book this week! It sounds so good. I've read one other book by this author and loved it.Can't wait!
I like your comment a lot! I think the book sounds awesome – really want it on my shelves asap! Glad the author's other book was good as well ... might have to add that to the list as well.
I actively try to avoid ugly cry books :( All the same, I hope you enjoy it :)

I like a book that can really make me feel something. This sounds like a wonderful read for me. Thanks for sharing.
Sounds like a fantastic read to me! I would love to see what it is about as it sounds really intriguing. I don't mind "cry"book , actually I even love them as they really make me feel I am alive enjoying a wide spectrum of emotions. It's so difficult to find a good essay writer online these days. That's why I'd love to read it. Thank you so much for sharing it!
