Thanks for your review on The Color Purple. Aside from majoring in English Literature and Creative Writing, I also took some classes in Women's Studies, so I know what you're talking about when you mention reading for a feminist class! Good for you.

I believe our reading tastes do change. Absolutely. I ONLY used to read literary fiction considering it was my major, but now I'm also reading YA. Funny, huh?

I LOVE this book! I read it for the first time in high school and while I enjoyed it, I agree with you that a few years makes a difference. When I read it again in my late 20's it was so much better! Great review :)

I've been considering reading this book for awhile now, but since reading your recommendation, I definitely think I'll pick this up! It reminds me of a book I reviewed called "The Kitchen House", also a great book.
